What’s up everybody? Welcome back.
We have been getting a lot of questions about where to stand relative to the tee. If your working inside, middle or outside, where is the correct spot to stand. In this article we are going to give you the answer.
Inside Pitch
When working on inside pitches, you want to be hitting the ball out in front of the plate. This will allow you to make solid contact and pull the ball.
When setting up the swing Path trainer for inside pitches, you want to make sure the ball is a few inches in front of the plate, and in the inside half.
If you are not using a plate, you can base your set up on the Swing path Trainer. Line your front foot up with the middle of the board so the ball is out front. Stand a little closer to the inside edge and you are all set.
Outside Pitch
When working on outside pitches, you want to be hitting the ball over top of the plate. This will allow the ball to be further back in the swing so you can hit it to the opposite field.
When setting up the swing Path trainer for outside pitches, you want to make sure the ball is a few inches behind the front edge of the plate (at the corner where it angles in) and on the outer half.
If you are basing your setup on the Swing path Trainer, line your front foot up with the ball. Stand a little further away from the inside edge and you are now set up for an outside pitch.
Middle Pitch
When working on pitches down the middle, you want to be hitting the ball out in front, but not as much as the inside pitch. This will allow the ball to get a bit deeper so you can take it back up the middle
When setting up the swing Path trainer for pitches down the middle, you want to make sure the ball is on top of the front edge of the plate and right in the middle.
If you are basing your setup on the Swing path Trainer, line your front foot up with the two screws behind the ball. Stand at a comfortable distance away from the board, and you should be ready to hit line drives to centerfield.
